Irvine Park Native Wildflower Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is located off Irvine Park Dr. just south of the Duck Pond in Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls WI.
This is an ongoing project of the Lake Wissota Garden Club.
Guided tours are given on the 2nd Saturday of May-Sept. at 10:00 AM by garden club members.
Self-guided tours are available anytime during park hours.
Each variety in bloom has a color picture marker listing the common and botanical name and an interesting fact about the plant. The sanctuary’s bloom season peaks in July and August with 25-35 varieties in bloom.
We continue to overhaul each area; while continuing to maintain what we have done in years past.
There are now over 120 WI native wildflower varieties growing in the ½ acre sanctuary bordered by Duncan Creek and Spring Brook.
